Sourced in the same way as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), blood is taken from you, the patient, and the platelets extracted using a centrifuge which spins the tubes of blood. The platelet-rich fibrin process differs in that slowing the centrifugation means samples are rich in fibrinogen, stem cells and leukocytes, most of which are platelet-poor in PRP.

i-PRF vs PRP
